With our Quanterix Simoa® HD-X and SP-X analyzers and over a decade of hands-on experience in ultra-sensitive assay development, validation, and high-throughput sample screening, we offer comprehensive services for the detection of a broad range of soluble biomarkers.

We support both high-sensitive Simoa® platforms:

  • HD-X (bead-based digital immunoassay technology)
  • SP-X (planar-array immunoassay platform for multiplexing)

 

Our services cover pre-clinical as well as clinical samples, with the option to operate under GCP-compliant conditions for clinical studies.

In addition to supporting all commercially available Simoa® kits, we specialize in fully customized assay development using our in-house “homebrew” capabilities and competence.

 

Transfer of Existing Immunoassays for Enhanced Sensitivity

We also offer the transfer of existing immunoassays to improve sensitivity and make previously undetectable analytes measurable on Simoa® platforms. Our experience has shown that it is not always predictable which platform will provide the sensitivity you need.

With our deep expertise in immunoassay development and extensive knowledge of both Simoa® platforms, we can not only guide you with expert consultation but also provide the experimental equipment necessary for a platform comparison at the early stages of your project. About Simoa®

Quanterix Simoa® (Single Molecule Array) technology sets the gold standard for protein profiling applications that require ultra-sensitive detection - ideal for analytes with very low abundance or when working with limited volumes from precious samples.

At the core of the bead-based Simoa® HD-X platform is the isolation of individual immuno-complexes on paramagnetic beads using standard immunoassay reagents. These beads are analyzed in femtoliter-sized wells, enabling digital detection at the single-molecule level. This approach boosts assay sensitivity by a factor of 10 to 100 (or even above) compared to conventional immunoassays.

In addition to its unmatched sensitivity, the HD-X platform also supports multiplexing - combining precision with flexibility across a wide range of applications.

 

Simoa® SP-X: Planar Array Platform for Multiplexed Protein Profiling

The Simoa® SP-X platform complements HD-X by enabling the multiplexed detection of up to 10 analytes in a planar array format. Like HD-X, SP-X delivers excellent performance for low-abundance targets and is particularly well suited for profiling complex protein signatures across large sample cohorts.

SP-X uses the same high-quality immunoassay reagents and benefits from a streamlined workflow, making it a powerful platform for biomarker discovery, assay verification, and translational research.
